At Hill House, we provide expert 24-hour dementia nursing care for people living with all stages of dementia. Our highly experienced nurses and carers understand that each person’s experience of dementia is different, which is why our care is tailored around each resident’s individual needs and preferences.

The Sunflower Approach is our ethos for care, built on loyalty, adoration and longevity. With no agency staff, a high staff to resident ratio of 1:3 1/2 and exceptional team retention, residents are supported by familiar faces who take the time to build meaningful and reassuring relationships. We collaborate closely with residents and their families with regular care reviews to support changing needs.

Hill House has been thoughtfully designed to support people living with dementia. Comfortable, dementia-friendly surroundings with art and memorabilia encourage reminiscing and create a calm, homely environment where residents can feel relaxed and happy. Rooms have been designed to reduce the risk of falls and injury, and a homely and familiar environment helps the residents to feel relaxed and safe. Our safe courtyard and beautiful gardens promote opportunities to enjoy being outside and continue living a happy and fulfilling life.

Our dedicated Activities Team (3 full time co-ordinators) delivers a varied programme seven days a week, including live music, sensory activities and group day-to-day trips. Music is particularly beneficial for many people living with dementia, and our weekly visiting music therapist helps to stimulate memories and promote wellbeing.
