On the 28th April CQC visited Hill House Nursing Home to conduct an unannounced routine inspection. The inspectors look to see if the home meets national care standards for the residents and service users.

The areas of compliance inspected were:

  • The care and welfare of residents
  • Respecting and involving people who use the homes services
  • Meeting the resident’s nutritional needs
  • Cleanliness and infection control in the home
  • Staffing
  •  Complaints procedure

CQC’s findings were that Hill House meets all these standards, and are fully compliant with no concerns in any areas. They also felt that residents experienced care, treatment and support that met their needs and protected their rights.

Alison Lee felt this was because of all the staff’s hard work, care and effort.

A full inspection report of Hill House will be published on the CQC website shortly.
