It seems amazing that Hill House has been open almost a year! So much has happened within this time which we would like to share with you.

Hill House is over 90% full, with most of the residents coming from the surrounding areas of Farnham, Fleet, Hartley Wintney, Odiham, Hook, Aldershot, Farnborough, Yateley, and the surrounding counties of Surrey, Hampshire, and Berkshire. All the residents seem to really appreciate the nursing care provided by our dedicated staff, and seem very comfortable and settled. Feedback from the residents shows that the most popular and most enjoyed activities are; word searches, sherry mornings, garden club, and the trips to the local pub and garden centre in Church Crookham.

The Day Centre is now open 5 days a week, and is proving very popular with everyone in the local area of Farnham. Most days we have over 10 service users come to the Day Centre, and in the course of a typical week, 30 different service user’s pass through the Day centre doors.

Outside, the gardens have sprung to life, providing lots of interesting and colourful things for our residents to admirer. The court yards seem a very popular place for our residents to sit and enjoy the outside space. We are running a gardening club that is a big hit with the residents, and they are growing runner beans, peppers, tomatoes, and cucumbers. The residents really enjoy getting involved and getting their hands dirty!

Over the course of the year we’ve had some great entertainment from local performers, schools and even staff members!! We would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to all the staff and everyone in the local community that has supported Hill House and made it such a success!
