In 2012 our three homes, Woodlands, Hill Brow and Hill House supported the charity ‘Families Supporting Care’.  During the year we have raised an incredible £15,000!  The Charity helps to support elderly residents from Hampshire & Surrey with financial assistance when resident’s funds diminish during their stay in care.  During 2012 we were pleased to be able to support a number of residents with financial support towards their care fees.

As well as receiving donations from residents, relatives and friends a number of staff members helped to raise funds.   In the summer we organised our annual Garden Party which raised over £2,000.  The maintenance men raised £500 in November and Elizabeth Butt, Our Residents Liaison Manager,  raised over £500 with a sponsored swim in February.  Dan Cooper, one of our chefs, is trying to raise £500 with a sponsored fishing challenge. He’s hoping to catch 100kg of fish in 5 hours.

In 2013 we are hoping to do better with a live musical evening with fish & chips supper in May at Hill House.  In August we are holding a Tea Dance with a live band at Hill House.  The annual Garden Party will be held at our Woodlands Home in September.

We would like to say a big thank you to staff that have helped organise and raised funds, as well as to everyone who has donated and contributed towards ‘Families Supporting Care’ it is very much appreciated.
