On Friday 21st June we hosted a NAPA (National association for providers of activates for older people) open day for relatives and visitors at Hill House Nursing Home in Farnham.
We had a good turn out with over 80 visitors coming to see the different activities the residents at Hill House can take part in. Entertainment included; some of our staff members doing Hawaiian dancing, Alison Lee’s daughter and her local ballet group dancing, a Mexican singer and performer, and a local singer called Lucas. All the residents really enjoyed the performances and got involved with the singing and dancing.
Residents were pleased to see their art and craft handy work displayed, and everyone enjoyed admiring it.
Staff and relatives manned cake, jewellery, pampered chef, strawberries and cream, and drinks stalls, which helped rise over £300 for our charity Families Supporting Care.
Our kitchen staff put on a lovely barbeque, so despite the rain everyone still had a great time.
We’d like to thank everyone that helped make it a great day.
