Opens 10.30 to 14.30 for formal day care
People with dementia may be able to have up 10 hours – 4 hours formal day care and another 6 hours of informal day care – by arrangement with the Dementia Day Care Centre Manager
Trial session encouraged
Fully well trained staff – all DBS checked
Refreshments, hot dinner with dessert, cooked on the premises
Special dietary needs catered for
Assisted bathing service provided
Smaller ‘quiet room’ for people with dementia who need a little one-to-one time / prayer corner / browsing through amazing art books

Stage specific activities programmes which include:-

Daily Sparkle reminiscence newsletter

Arts and crafts, painting, modelling, drawing, collage cards etc.

Gentle chair based / standing exercises

Dancing, for those that can

Singing with percussion instruments

Christmas Choir

Poetry reading and appreciation

Discussion groups

Ball / balloon games

Golf putting

Old proverbs and sayings

Opportunities to lead an activities session with assistance

Walks in the gardens

Plus many more activities
