The management also provide a safe (which is in the office) in which valuables and money can be stored. The key is held securely by senior staff. All valuables and money are checked at least monthly by a designated member of staff, and one other.
If a resident is unable to manage their financial affairs then their next of kin or solicitor are advised to manage their affairs on their behalf.
When money is removed or added the transaction should be double signed by staff and wherever possible it should be signed by the resident / relative.
Any discrepancies with totals must be reported immediately to the Manager.
