July’s winner was Molly Hughes. Molly, who lives in Fleet, has worked at Woodlands as a Care Assisant for 11 years and is a much loved member of the team. She was nominated for always being happy to help and always going out of her way to make sure everyone is happy.

June’s staff achiever was Cheryl Williams, a Senior Carer at Hill House. Cherly has worked at Hill House since 20/03/12 and lives in Farnham. She was nominated for her kind and helpfully manner and for being a wonderful carer.

May’s staff achiever award goes to a very hard working Senior Carer at Hill Brow, David Saul.
David lives locally in Farnham and joined Hill Brow in 2011. He has become increasingly popular and a very important member of the team.
Residents nominated David for his enthusiasm, professionalism and caring nature. Members of the Hill Brow staff nominated him for his reliability, helpfulness, and for always being willing to help.

April’s staff achiever was Ozcan Turk. Ozcan is a Care Assistant at Hill House and lives locally in Farnham.

March’s staff achiever award goes to our incredibly popular Activities Coordinator at Hill House, Ana Maria Teixeira.
Ana Maria joined Hill House just after it opened in 2011. She has worked very hard to provide a varied, stimulating, fun and interesting range of activities for our residents to enjoy.
Ana Maria who lives locally in Farnham, could not be more committed to our residents and her job. Residents always comment about her enthusiasm and how she goes out of her way to get things organised for them. Staff members voted for her because she is always willing to always help out in the home.
Well done Ana Maria, all your hard work is really appreciated.

The winner for February was Silpa Gurung who works at Woodlands. Silpa was nominated by her colleagues for always going above her job role to help others, and for being a good team player. Silpa has worked at Woodlands for a year and lives locally in Church Crookham.

November’s winner was Tonya Rush, a Senior Carer at Woodlands. She has worked at Woodlands for almost 4 years and lives locally in Farnborough. She was nominated by the other staff members for her willingness to listen and help. The Residents nominated her for her attention to detail and care.

September Staff Achiever of the month is Pip Openshaw who works as an Activity Coordinator at our Woodlands home in Fleet. Pip has been an important and valued member of the team for 2 half years at Woodlands.
Pip was nominated for the huge contribution she made in helping to organise our very successful Garden Party. The residents nominated her for her varied and interesting activities, enthusiasm and willingness to go out of her way to organise enjoyable trips for our residents.
Staff and residents nominated Pip for her kindness and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure residents have lots of enjoyable trips and all have a good time.

Augusts Staff Achiever Award goes to DAWN HARDY a care assistant at Hill House, Farnham. Dawn who lives locally in Fleet, started with us a year ago after opting for a change in career. Dawn previously worked as a Personal Assistant for a BMW dealer. She decided her vocation was to care for the elderly and made the decision to change her career path. Dawn is working hard towards her NVQ 2 and hopes to be qualified soon.
Dawn is really enjoying caring for the residents, and they nominated her for her exceptional care, and her work colleges for her happy and cheerful personality and willingness to simply help. WELL DONE DAWN, you are much appreciated at Hill House than at BMW!

July’s Staff Achiever Award goes to DAWN DEVIN our Activities Coordinator at Hill Brow. Dawn who lives in Fleet took on this fun role just over a year ago. Dawn particularly enjoys organising art groups for our residents, as well as quiz’s, trips and many other activities. She enjoys spending time with the residents and keeping them active. Dawn feels she has learnt a lot from the residents and always goes home with a smile.

February’s staff achiever award goes to CONNOR MORRIS-CLARKE a kitchen assistant at Woodlands. Connor who lives in Fleet has worked at Woodlands for 3 years. He originally only planned to stay for a year, but enjoys his job so much has stayed.
Residents nominated Connor for his fun personality and his willingness to help. Staff members also nominated Conner for always smiling and being a fun member of the team.

January’s staff achiever award goes to GAIL TAYLOR a senior carer at Hill House. Gail, who grew up in Farnborough, has a wealth of experience in care formally managing a day care centre. She is passionate about good dementia care and has passed her NVQ level 4.
Staff members nominated Gail for her willingness to be a strong member of the team. The residents and relatives nominated Gail for her willingness to put herself out in helping and caring for residents.

October’s staff achiever award goes to Nisha John a care assistant at Hill House in Farnham. Nisha, who lives in Aldershot, enjoys spending time with her grandparents and helping care for them. Nisha has a degree and a master’s degree in computer science, but with her caring nature she chose to become part of the care team at Hill House. Residents nominated Nisha for her hard work and her willingness to help in all aspects of daily routine. Staff members commented on her enthusiasm to help others, and her compassionate caring nature.

September’s staff achiever award goes to TERESA ADAM, a care assistant who works at Hill House Nursing Home in Farnham. Teresa, who lives in Aldershot, has been at Hill House for just over a year, and particularly enjoys caring for residents with dementia. Julia Billins and Maria Gilfoyle, Hill Houses Care Managers, love Teresa’s enthusiasm and hard working attitude. Residents nominated her for her sense of humour and her kind caring attitude, with nothing being too much trouble.

CODY FRANCIS a Care Assistant at Hill Brow won July’s staff achiever of the month award. Cody from Farnham works alongside her twin sister Jade, and started working at Hill Brow 8 months ago. She has always enjoyed spending a lot of time with her Grandmother, in particular taking her out shopping in Farnborough and Aldershot. Cody won this month’s award because the residents felt she had some outstanding qualities, she is always very cheerful, kind, and nothing is ever too much trouble. So well done Cody your hard work and cheerfulness is very much appreciated.

SHANE CHOULARTON a trainee chef at Hill House Nursing Home, has won Junes Staff Achiever award. Shane who lives in Aldershot has worked in the home for a year, along with his mother Debbie who has worked for us for over 12 years. Shane was nominated by 8 different residents for lovely food, always taking an interest in the resident’s favourite foods and health needs, always being happy and smiley, and for making good coffee! Well done Shane keep up the good work.

Our May Staff Achiever award goes to PIP SIMPKIN-OPENSHAW, who lives in Fleet and works at Woodlands. Pip has been working at Woodlands for just over a year, and is currently studying for her NVQ level 3 qualification, which she’s aiming to complete shortly. Pip was nominated by 6 different Residents because they felt nothing is too much trouble for her. One of the Residents said “Pip is always prepared to listen, and she always goes out of her way to give excellent care”.

HELEN LEE, a care assistant at hill house nursing home won the April’s staff achiever award! She was nominated by over 20 different members of staff and residents for all her effort and hard work. Teresa Field, hill house’s manager said “Helen is a real grafter and everyone loves working with her. She is flexible and will always help out whenever asked.”
Residents nominated her for her caring nature, attention to detail, and nothing is ever too much trouble. Helen who lives in Fleet, has also worked in Woodlands residential home where she was liked by all the staff and residents.

This month our winner comes from Hill House. JANINE SHIRREFFS was nominated by her team members who said that she was a lovely person to work with and she has been equally popular with the residents. Janine hasn’t been with us very long but works very hard, is completely dependable and in the words of her Manager ‘she never lets anyone down’.

December, as ever, was a busy month for all our homes so we decided not to make any award that month. DAVID SAUL was our January winner – nominated by both staff members and the residents of Hill Brow. David has proved to be popular since joining us only 5 months ago. Residents appreciate his gentle and kind approach and nothing seems to be too much trouble when he’s looking after them. He has also become a valued member of the team and is fun to work with.

With the opening of the new home taking everyone’s attention, we’ve had a bit of a pause on the staff awards while everything settles down. We were therefore doubly delighted that SAHLEE VILLALOBOS, one of our nurses at Hill House , was chosen this month. Staff and residents had commented on her commitment and dedication to her job, about how kind and considerate she is and she always has a smile on her face. Before Hill House opened, Sahlee did her induction period at Woodlands and she was remembered by the staff there as well.
