After a rather busy month of activities in December, our residents enjoyed a more relaxed programme of activities in January!

We still managed 2 visits to our residents favourite pub The Twesledown and a visit to Bagshot Lee Garden Centre for shopping and cake with coffee. In the home our residents enjoyed a word search, Skittles, bowls and quiz’s.

On the 7th January Barbara Rayner visited to perform ‘Singing for the Brain’ which our residents really enjoyed. This was followed by a lovely Afternoon Tea.

The Crondall Singers visited on the 14th and sang beautifully with lots of residents joining in. Then on Friday 16th we had a singalong with a difference, as we had an afternoon themed around “washing days”. Residents hung out the washing, sang and reminisced about the old days and how they did things differently.

On the 23rd January we had an afternoon of Nepalese Dancing. Several members of our staff dressed up in Nepalese traditional costumes and gave a colourful and lively performance.

We celebrated Burns Night on the 26th with a lovely Tea Party. All 3 Homes got together to have some fun, watch some sword dancing and enjoy a Scottish themed Afternoon Tea.

Finally, on the 13th January Hill House hosted our regular Charity Quiz Night, with 9 teams of residents and relatives from all 3 Homes taking part! On the night, over £300 was raised for our Charity Families Supporting Care. So Thank You to everyone who took part!
