As the sun rose on Monday morning, we eagerly tended to our beloved indoor garden. With gentle hands, we carefully watered each plant, ensuring that they were hydrated and ready to thrive. We then took the time to rotate the flowers, strategically positioning them to soak up the perfect amount of sunshine. It was a labour of love, but the result was worth it – a stunning display of nature’s beauty right in our own home.

What a fantastic Tuesday morning we had! Our interactive musical bingo had us all buzzing with excitement. We were treated to some amazing song clips and had to put our music knowledge to the test by guessing the name of the tune before checking our bingo boards.
The garden view lounge was alive with energy this morning! We were fully immersed in their artistic pursuits, dabbling in watercolour painting to capture the stunning scenery of cottage country. Meanwhile, others were flexing their mental muscles with challenging crossword puzzles, while some simply kicked back and indulged in their favourite TV shows. The atmosphere was positively delightful, with laughter, learning, and leisure all rolled into one.
It was a remarkable experience to witness the return of our Woodlands & Hillbrow Dementia Choir following a brief summer break. The four homes were cordially invited to convene at Hill House for an afternoon of singing and joviality.
On a bright and beautiful Wednesday morning, we embarked on a delightful journey to the charming Manor Farm Tea Rooms. Our mission? To indulge in a steaming cup of coffee and a slice of the most heavenly lemon and elderflower cake you could ever imagine. As we approached the Tea Room, we were immediately struck by its stunning appearance – a converted outhouse barn with rustic beams adorned with a vast collection of teapots. It was like stepping into a fairytale! We spent the morning chatting and laughing, basking in the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the Tea Room, surrounded by great company and the most delightful surroundings. It was truly a morning to remember!
We decided to put our minds to the test with some exciting brain games! We tackled challenging jigsaw puzzles and even tried our hand at the thrilling math dice game, Shut the Box. It was a blast exercising our brains and seeing who could come out on top.
What a delightful afternoon, we threw a tea party fit for royalty, inspired by the iconic Last Night at the Proms. Our dear friends from Farnham Mill joined us for an afternoon filled with singing, flag-waving, and scrumptious cakes that were almost too pretty to eat. It was a truly unforgettable experience that left us all feeling uplifted and joyous.
On Thursday, our talented crafters gathered in the day lounge to unleash their creativity and craft some breathtaking paper flowers. As they worked their magic, the sweet sounds of classical music filled the air, reminiscent of the last night at the proms. It was a delightful sight to see these skilled artisans bring their visions to life while enjoying the soothing melodies that transported them to a world of pure imagination.
With brushes in hand and a rainbow of colours at our disposal, we unleashed our inner artists and brought our imaginations to life on the canvas. It was a truly magical experience, as we watched the colours blend and dance together, creating stunning works of art that captured the essence of our souls.
We were lucky enough to have our in-house hairdresser come and work her magic on us. She has a way of making us feel like royalty, while staying in the comfort of our own home. It’s like we’re transported to a spa, but without any of the hassle. We’re already counting down the days until our next appointment.

Our Omi table was the ultimate source of entertainment! We had a blast playing all sorts of games, but there was one that stole our hearts – the bubble pop! It was addictive, exhilarating and had us on the edge of our seats.

We hosted our very own sewing bee where we gathered together to create some amazing bookmarks and coasters. With our needles and thread in hand, we stitched away and let our creativity run wild.
We had a blast playing word games, and one of our favourites was Bananagrams! We spent hours challenging each other’s vocabulary and racing to create the most words in the shortest amount of time. It was a great way to exercise our brains and have fun at the same time.
On Saturday afternoon, we settled in to witness a truly remarkable night at the proms. As the music began to fill the room, we couldn’t help but sway and tap our feet along to the beat. With each performance, we were completely captivated, and our hands couldn’t resist joining in on the fun. As the final notes of each piece echoed through the house, we erupted into thunderous applause, our faces beaming with pure joy and excitement. It was a truly unforgettable experience that left us feeling uplifted and inspired.
Our end-of-summer BBQ on Saturday was so much fun. Despite the unpredictable British weather throwing three seasons our way, everyone refused to let it dampen their spirits and hosted an unforgettable celebration.
The residents, families, and friends all gathered together to indulge in some mouth-watering BBQ food in the garden!
With the party in full swing, we decided to take things up a notch and bring the festivities indoors due to rain. For a whole hour, we were swept away by the electrifying beats of Smokey Joe, whose musical talent had everyone up on their feet and grooving along. It was a sight to behold – the entire crowd moving in perfect harmony lost in the rhythm of the music.
