“I can’t thank you enough for all your kindness, consideration, professionalism, and thoughtfulness. Nothing was too much trouble.”

“In the years Mum was with you, I never once doubted she was in the best place. She was always treated with care, compassion, respect & dignity.”

From the Landlord of the local pub:
All the times we have visited (on our regular trips out) he said “He has never seen so much respect & dignity shown to old people. We treat our residents like friends and really make thing fun.” When he gets old he definitely wants to be in one of our homes.

“Since my father took the decision to live at Woodlands his health has improved through 3 good meals a day being cooked for him. He is happier and busier as he likes to take part in Woodlands activities and trips. His favourite activity is the gardening club and his favourite trips is to the pub. He loves the gardens and especially the helpful, caring staff.”

“Our deepest thanks for the exceptional care that you have given my dad during his residence at Woodlands. Your calm family environment is underpinned by the highest level of best practice care together with such obvious love and understanding all round.”

“It is never easy to give up your home but Dad was ready to be looked after and I knew he felt comfortable from day one with you and never asked to go home. All your staff are willing to go the extra mile for your residents.”

“Both my parents are residents at Woodlands. Mum has dementia and has lived there for 18 months, dad moved into a double room with her 2 or 3 months later. He does not have dementia but is not able to look after himself. He is still quite active but after 63 years married wanted to be with his wife. Their different needs are met superbly by the staff, who amaze me with their positive caring and fun attitudes. They have both settled really well, and are very happy – after a couple of years of misery trying to cope at home. I couldn’t be more impressed or relieved!”

“Individual staff responds to the individual personalities of residents.”

“As a frequent visitor I see it all – compassion, humour, impromptu dancing & singing, a happy place!”

“Many thanks for taking my Aunt to the quiz at Hill Brow. She had a lovely time. We went shopping today and she kept telling me about the evening, the food and of course the company. She was also very pleased to have come up with a team name. Thanks for taking her and looking after her.”

“For us it was a great relief to see her settled in and witness the real care, warmth and endless effort that you all provided. How can we ever thank you?”

“The things I like about this home is the friendship, security, entertainment & trips.”

“I have the chance to be independent in whatever I do.”

“I can recommend Hill Brow for its friendly caring staff who always make me feel welcome. The home has a lovely warm atmosphere with lots going on. The garden is lovely with lots of colour and they even allow me to visit with my dog.”

“Hill Brow should have every award possible, my mother-in-law is not the easiest person to be around, but at Hill Brow she suddenly became totally relaxed and began to enjoy life again. She loved Dawn the activities lady and felt she was involved in the running of them in some way. They have a great residents committee where the staff are told what the residents want, especially about food and outings, well done.”

“When mum was more able she really enjoyed all the outings to the theatre, trips to the Basingstoke Canal and to the seaside, all of which helped to ensure that this stage of her life was truly happy. The resident cat and visiting dogs, being able to walk around the garden also helped to create this environment that Mum loved. She particularly liked sitting next to the pond when weather allowed.”
“I find the home has a very caring atmosphere, nothing is too much trouble. The staff are very reassuring. I feel the resident’s welfare and needs are always put first.”

“The staff at Hill Brow are kind and endlessly patient and the residents are treated with great care and respect. Staff turnover is low and the residents see the same faces all the time, which leads to lower levels of anxiety and confusion. It also means that the staff know the residents’ individual needs and preferences very well, so changes are noted and acted upon. A programme of daily activities is in place and residents are encouraged to participate in the craft, crosswords, quizzes and musical entertainment on offer. My mother’s room and en-suite shower are always immaculately clean and tidy. The garden and grounds are well tended and a real bonus in good weather. Family and friends can visit at any time.”

“We always find a happy atmosphere whenever we walk in.”

“Dad was given a tour of the kitchen and was impressed. No ready meal food here!”
“My Father was so well cared for so well that he actually got better after arriving in quite a state.”

In a word “OUSTANDING”
“Hill House has been beautifully set up throughout and equipped. There is a very homely atmosphere and all the staff I encounter are very friendly & helpful.”

“I am writing a “Big Thank You” to you and all your remarkable staff for looking after my Mum so wonderfully. All your staff at all levels showed much dignity & tenderness in her care. I shall be grateful that she spent her last few months with you. There could not be a lovelier place to end her days.”

“I felt that the care Mum received was wonderful with people who seem to enjoy their work and still had time for a chat. The friendliness shown to our family was super. Hill House is a lovely building, light, airy and spotless.”

“My father made Hill House his home for the 2 years he lived there, before passing away in January. Over the two years dad was always treated with care and kindness by all the staff. What impressed me the most about Hill House was the atmosphere, both the residents and staff were happy to be there and enjoyed their company. The home has excellent facilities and is always clean with lots always going on.”

“My friend was admitted to Hill House Nursing Home three months ago, since then she has been cared for by the lovely staff Hill House. They are so kind and compassionate, their knowledge is second to none. Anyone who is looking for a home should go there. I am a qualified nurse and totally in awe of the nurses, carers and cleaners.”
“My mother has lived at Hill House for just over a year now. The care she receives has been excellent and all the staff have lots of time for her, even when she is very demanding. What I like most about Hill House is it feels like my mother’s home now. Her large room is furnished with all her own furniture. She is very happy and safe. My mother enjoys all the activities and trips that are offered.”
