Outstanding Dementia care in Hampshire

The team at Hill House Nursing and Dementia Home are highly experienced and qualified in Dementia Care, with very low staff turnover and no agency staff. It is one of the few local nurse managed homes with a specialist approach to ensure everyone receives person-centred care and that they are comfortable and happy.  A person-centred approach to care is taken so individual residents feel comfortable and happy living at Hill House.

Pictures and memorabilia have been chosen to encourage reminiscing as well as creating a comfortable and non-institutional feel to the surroundings.

There is a lot of evidence showing individuals living with Dementia, enjoy and benefit from music.  Every week there are 3 different types of live music weekly, we have performers to music therapists who provide individual plans which run alongside our varied activities program.

A team of 3 full time activities co-ordinators work in the Home so there is always something for residents to join in with and enjoy.

The Residents receive full 24 hour nursing care. Families have monthly meetings with the dementia team to discuss any concerns they may have, and about any changes in care that are required, and are fully consulted in the decision making process.

Rooms have been designed to reduce the risk of falls and injury and a homely and familiar environment helps the residents to feel relaxed and safe. A safe courtyard garden will encourage residents to enjoy being outside as much as the weather allows.

All of our staff are now vaccinated against Covid and we do not use any Agency staff.
