Woodlands Residential Care Home
Woodlands was rated in July 2019 by Care Quality Commission (CQC), the government
regulator of social care. Less than 2% of homes nationally achieve this top rating.
The Inspectors Report commented. “The staff in the home are extremely caring” and “Residents are very much at the heart of the service”.
Woodlands has 39 rooms and can take couples in the large rooms or suites as required.
All rooms have ensuite facilities. Most have wet rooms. We have a care bathroom with a special all singing, all dancing bath so that residents who can no longer manage to use a bath, can enjoy a hot bubbly soak or a wet room if residents prefer a shower.
Communal areas include a main lounge and a dining room, both looking over the sunny courtyard which is a popular extension to these living areas in the summer. We have two smaller lounges where residents can go for some quiet time or host friends and family for visits. There is also a library which is a popular spot for the puzzle fans!
We pride ourselves in the maintenance of our wooded gardens with water features, a bluebell glade, and plenty of flat pathways. The sunny courtyard, which is protected from the wind on all sides around a beautiful pond, sits at the heart of the home with many of the rooms facing onto this. Each year the resident’s garden club plants out the tubs and planters producing a splendid array of colour and blooms for everyone to enjoy. Tomatoes and cucumbers are also popular to grow as they can be enjoyed at the table!
We provide many planned activities including regular trips to Fleet, other outings and many clubs.
Coming to live at Woodlands means you are joining a community where you are cared for and looked after, whatever your needs.
