Wimbledon Week

At Hill House this week we celebrated all things Wimbledon as the tennis tournament progressed throughout the week. Residents enjoyed tennis trivia, cooking clubs, and sensory carts serving strawberries with cream and Pimms!

Strawberries, Cream and Pimms

Strawberries and cream with a glass of Pimm’s is probably the most iconic Wimbledon pairing!

Outing to Tweseldown Pub

A wonderful trip out on Wednesday to the
beautiful Tweseldown pub.

Our residents have enjoyed a wonderful Wimbledon Week filled with activities that support both physical and cognitive wellbeing. From physiotherapy exercises, puzzles, music therapy, and flower arranging to a special visit from a therapy dog, there has been something for everyone.

Making the most of the beautiful weather outdoors, sharing conversations, laughter, and of course enjoying Wimbledon traditions like strawberries and cream, has made for a fantastic week. These engaging activities help stimulate cognitive skills, encourage social interaction, and most importantly, bring smiles and fun to everyone’s day.

We had our second summer BBQ of the year.
Due to the extreme heat, we moved the event indoors so
that everyone could enjoy it safely, with the option to
spend time in our courtyard for those families who can’t
get enough sun!
