Care Home Activities
Care home activities at Hill House Nursing and Dementia Home are truly a family concern, we always welcome residents’ friends and families to get involved.
At Hill House Nursing and Dementia Home we employ 3 full time activities coordinators. They deliver a varied and interesting programme 7 days a week and we provide 3 different weekly musical performers and music therapy. We also support individual residents, to pursue their own interests and hobbies independently. Additionally offering 1 to 1 activity sessions for those individuals who choose not to join group activities.
Every morning and afternoon there are a varied range of activities. Such as quizzes, arts and crafts, musical performances, music and movement classes, church services, gardening, cookery, wine tasting, flower arranging plus pet therapy visits from animals. We also go out on regular shopping, garden centre and pub trips to Odiham, Fleet, Hartley Witney, Farnborough and Aldershot.

The activities help build a sense of community within the home, and the activities change to reflect our residents’ interests and needs, which is done through our residents committee. Importantly, we also encourage families to join in with our regular BBQs, trips to the seaside, theatre trips and summer garden parties.
