Engaging Activities
Keeping every day active, happy and meaningful
The programme of daily activities at each of our homes is especially tailored to the wishes of residents. It is all about building a sense of community in and around the home, which the residents find stimulating and interesting.
We employ 3 full time activities coordinators who provide a varied and interesting programme, 7 days a week. We also support residents so they can pursue their own interests and hobbies independently. In addition to this there are 3 different types of live music performers and music therapy weekly which help to promote reminiscing and fond memories.
A lively programme means there is always something going on in the mornings and afternoons, including the regular and popular activities of outings to Odiham, Fleet, Hartley Wintney, Farnborough and Aldershot for shopping, garden centre coffee mornings, fish and chips lunches, theatre trips and visits to the local pubs. Residents are encouraged to contribute their own ideas to the programme through monthly residents committee meetings and a questionnaire that they complete every 6 months.
Enriching lives through meaningful activities for over 50 years
The activities help build a sense of community within the home, and the activities change to reflect our residents’ interests and needs, which is done through our residents committee. Importantly, we also encourage families to join in with our regular BBQs, trips to the seaside, theatre trips and summer garden parties.
