Commonwealth Games Week

Lots of fun and games this week for the Commonwealth Games. We have been participating in lots of different sports including balloon volleyball, skittles and football goal shoot. We have watched the Games on TV, played a sports themed bingo, enjoyed the sunshine in the garden, made jam tarts and indulged in a wine tasting afternoon.

Outing

On Wednesday we enjoyed a trip out to Birdies Cafe in Farnham Park. The sun was shining as we relaxed and socialised over drinks and cakes.

Perfect company, perfect outing!

Live Singer

A wonderful afternoon of live music on Friday with Singer Paul Hudson!

Flower Arranging

Our regular flower arranging group is always something to look forward to. Residents enjoy spending time together, chatting and sharing plenty of laughter while creating beautiful floral arrangements to display around our home. The fresh flowers bring wonderful colours and lovely scents, helping to brighten the environment for everyone. Taking part also supports fine motor skills, encourages creativity, and provides a fantastic opportunity to socialise and make new friendships in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.

Our Commonwealth Games Week was full of fun, friendly competition, and team spirit! Residents enjoyed taking part in a variety of indoor and outdoor games, with everyone encouraged to join in at their own pace. The week was filled with laughter, cheering, and a wonderful sense of achievement as residents supported one another and celebrated every success. It was a fantastic opportunity to stay active, build confidence, and enjoy spending time together while embracing the spirit of the Commonwealth Games.

As the beautiful weather continues, we are making the most of spending time outdoors and enjoying the fresh air. Residents have loved relaxing in the sunshine, enjoying a delicious ice cream! This week’s activities have also included baking, a delightful cheese and wine tasting afternoon, music sessions filled with singing and laughter, and our ever-popular regular sherry round, where residents enjoy catching up with friends in a relaxed and sociable atmosphere.
