Our esteemed guest, the Queen of Hearts, graced us with her presence and graciously served an abundance of tea and delectable treats, accompanied by her dear friend Alice.
The morning of Tuesday commenced with a pancake workshop, where we assembled in the lounge to expertly blend the pancake batter, delicately cracking eggs, skillfully whisking, and elegantly sieving flour to create the impeccable concoction.
Partaking in the freshly prepared pancakes was the ideal Shrove Tuesday delight, as we selected from an array of toppings, yet most of us opted for the classic combination of lemon and sugar.
Subsequently, we decided to showcase our culinary skills by engaging in the art of pancake tossing, effortlessly flipping the delicate pancakes to see how many flawless flips we could achieve consecutively.
Our garden view lounge was transformed into a haven of joy during the pancake bingo event, where we indulged in the sheer pleasure of creating and savouring these delectable treats. It was an enchanting experience that brought back cherished memories of the joyous moments associated with pancake making.
Roxy’s arrival brought immense happiness to our household, as we were overjoyed to have this adorable puppy in our midst.
Wednesday romance permeated the atmosphere as we extended a heartfelt invitation to our beloved partners for a 2-course lunch. The lounge underwent a breathtaking transformation, blossoming into a haven of love and intimacy, where couples were seated side by side.
They indulged in a culinary symphony of delectable dishes, meticulously crafted to tantalize their palates. As a token of affection, each partner received a tenderly handwritten Valentine’s card, a testament to the enduring bond they share. The air was serenaded by the dulcet melodies of soft music.
We understand that Valentine’s Day can be a bittersweet occasion for some of our residents who have experienced the loss of their beloved partners. That’s why we go above and beyond to make sure our residents feel cherished and loved during this time.
Our dedicated team made sure that the lovely ladies received a beautiful rose, symbolizing love and admiration, while the gentlemen were indulged with chocolates and biscuits. We created a warm and comforting atmosphere where everyone could share their cherished love stories and reminisce about the joyful moments they had with their significant others. As one of our residents wisely expressed, “Having loved and lost is far better than never having loved at all.”
The flower arranging club, led by Louise on Thursday mornings, was a sanctuary of creativity and relaxation for all of us who attended. Louise’s expert guidance and knowledge of different flowers and techniques helped us create stunning arrangements that brought a touch of nature into our homes.
Thursday afteroon’s entertainment compelled us to rise from our seats and immerse ourselves in the joyous melodies, as we swayed and harmonized with the captivating performance.
A magnificent morning was spent indulging in the delightful activity of bird watching through the window dedicated to this. Our collection of bird books provided us with a plethora of knowledge about these enchanting creatures.

Friday morning was absolutely fantastic as we gathered for an exhilarating game of floor bowls. This fun-filled activity not only kept us active but also brought us immense joy.
On Saturday morning, we tackled our usual oversized crossword puzzle in the lounge, giving our brains a good workout.
Reflecting on our wedding days has been a joy, reminiscing about the customs and styles of the time we tied the knot. From the extravagant puffy-sleeved bridesmaid gowns to the elegant cascading bouquets, every detail brings back cherished memories.
Our lifestyle dressers have been ingeniously designed to encourage group chats and tinkering, enabling us to delve into nostalgic memories of the past while enjoying the exploration of different lifestyles.

On a serene Sunday morning, some listened to a live church service online, while others revelled in heartwarming discussions about Kent’s captivating adventures in the magnificent rose gardens. The experience was topped off with a mouthwatering banquet of juicy roast beef, leaving everyone completely contented.
Our residents eagerly gathered for our weekly Sunday morning dementia service, a beautiful occasion filled with reflection and singing. This heartwarming event allowed everyone to participate at their own pace, creating a sense of freedom and joy. We sang a blend of traditional hymns and lively tunes that had everyone tapping their feet and even dancing. This week, we were delighted to discover that one of our residents had a special love for George Ezra’s “Shotgun,” so we happily included it in our repertoire. The lyrics were displayed on the screen, inviting everyone to join in the joyful chorus.
We savoured a splendid afternoon participating in our paint and sip event, where we delved into the soothing art of watercolor painting while engaging in vibrant conversations as a group.
