With such lovely weather, we have been enjoying spending time out in the garden. Garden view residents indulged in a delicious lunch out in the garden on Wednesday. We had tea parties in the garden and spent a wonderful afternoon wine tasting with cheese and crackers served with good company and a social chat while relaxing in the sunshine.

Monday started with a competitive game of skittles, while others had an afternoon tea party out in the garden enjoying the sunshine, good company and delicious cakes.

On Tuesday we had a creative morning as residents got to make their own soap. Choosing the essential oils they liked and mixing them with the soap base and colour before pouring them into moulds.

In the afternoon it was time to exercise with the weekly group physiotherapy session

Wednesday morning flower arranging session on garden view took place out in the garden making the most of the glorious sunshine

Followed by a little light reading

And as the weather was so nice residents chose to stay out in the garden to have their lunch as well.

In the main lounge, we had game of classic novels themed bingo, reminiscing about the different books we had read.

Weekly music therapy on a Wednesday is a popular and fun way to spend the afternoon

A wine-tasting session in the garden, trying a selection of wines and rating them on taste, aroma, and appearance while relaxing in the garden with good company and warm sunshine.

Thursday morning watercolour painting followed by a game of snakes and ladders.

A visit to the hairdressers for a little pampering.

The amazing Jimmy Kent came to perform for us on Thursday afternoon, serenading residents.

Friday morning started with a book quiz. Getting everyone’s brains going.

While others had some quiet time with staff colouring and doing puzzles together.

Happy Birthday to this lovely lady on her special day.

Saturday morning the cooking club got together to make a Winnie the Pooh inspired honey cake

The cake was delicious, and most was eaten while still warm after lunch.

The weekly dementia church service in the garden view lounge had everyone singing and dancing along.
